Sony Ericsson Introducess Entry-Level W302 Walkman

In spite of its expected low retail cost, the W302 comes equipped with features that would have adorned a higher-end handset only a few years ago.
For starters, the W302 Walkman is a reasonably thin bar shaped handset, measuring only 10.5mm in profile. Despite that, the W302 still manages to keep a 2 megapixel camera with video recording and an FM radio on board. Of course it also comes equipped with the Walkman music player for a true MP3 player-like experience, and it even supports Sony Ericsson's TrackID function for identifying songs.
Other features of note in the W302 include Bluetooth stereo support for wireless music enjoyment, 3D Java gaming, and a WAP 2.0 web browser. A 512MB Memory Stick M2 card is include in the retail packaging, and the contents of the card can be easily manipulated with a desktop PC thanks to the W302's USB mass storage mode support.
Sony Ericsson expects the quad-band GSM/EDGE W302 Walkman to be available in Q4 of 2008 in two color schemes: black and white. No word yet on exact pricing or market availability, though we have been told not to expect it in North America.
