Sony Ericsson C702 Mobile Phone in New Color

Sony Ericsson has updated its new C702 with a new color. Available in a new energy black, the handset is known as being a phone for the outdoors. The C702 features a 3.2MP camera, face detection, as well as dust and water resistant. [JustAMP]

ASUS Revealed Its Latest Bamboo-Clad Green Laptop Series

ASUS boasts Bamboo series to be truly green from its conception, production, to its eventual recycling and disposal. The notebook uses Super Hybrid Engine that can extend battery life between 35% and 70% as compared to notebooks with the same specifications but without the technology, and yet enable users to boost their systems’ performance by up to 23%. ASUS explains bamboo, which has a renewal rate that no other plant can match, is the perfect choice of material that symbolizes the company’s green policy. The ultra slim ASUS Bamboo Series notebook is currently available in two versions: a 12.1″ model that weighs 1.57kg and an 11.1″ model that weighs a mere 1.25kg. TrekStor’s Wireless Sound Box

TrekStor has unveiled its Wireless Sound Box that streams music at a distance up to 25-meters to up to 20 of the 2.4GHz wireless speakers. You just need to connect a USB stick to the computer. The device will stream your music wirelessly to the 2.4GHz speakers, that you can place anywhere in your house. Each wireless speakers requires 4x AA batteries and offers “softtouch” coating, volume controls, and line-in for connecting audio sources directly. With your €50, you can purchase the stereo starter set that consists of a USB stick and two wireless speakers. Each additional speaker retails for €30. Torch White LED Light Glove

Here is another unique conceptual torch light ‘Torch White LED Light Glove’ designed by Slovenian designer Tilen Sepic. Shaped just like a glove which can be worn around the wrist, the device will produce a working light without the hassle of shadows being reflected in the object. The light is emitted through the white LED which is a part of the device. It also features a battery pack with the light being transferred through the attached optical fibers to a specified location. Check out this cool universal & usb solar-cell tree charger by Vivien Muller. You can use it to recharge your cellphone, camera, or whatever, because it has 54 tiny photovoltaic panels and an internal battery that stores energy during the day. The modular parts are connected and can be rotated infinitely creating a different tree for your favorite sunny spot at home. Toshibas-sd-multi-tool-and-sd-photo-editor-are-a-nice-touchable surprise

Toshiba is offering up a nice respite from the inane quantity of LCDs and, um, more LCDs at IFA this year. The SD Multi Tool and the SD Photo Editor are two touchable handhelds, offering up some beefy features where similar devices lack, and also skipping over some of the more traditional MID OS features that might put these over the top -- a confusing mix, but again, not an LCD, so we're hooked. The SD Multi Tool is the real wild one, offering dual 3.5-inch touchable (finger or stylus) LCDs, rated at 960 x 480 each if the spec sheet is telling the truth -- that could be a combined resolution. The device offers wireless connectivity of some sort, and can handle web browsing, email, videos, photo editing and pretty much anything else that isn't an actual phone call -- though it can't be tough to squeeze some VoIP in there. Meanwhile, the SD Photo Editor really earns its "SD" moniker with dual SD card slots, while the Multi Tool just has one microSD slot. The Photo Editor runs a similar OS, but seems distilled down to mainly the photo browsing and editing functions, with a bit of PMP functionality thrown in we hope. A 5-inch WVGA screen with 16 million colors should be plenty of room to work your magic. No word on what OS is under the hood, but it seems to be mostly homegrown Toshiba fare. We know the Multi Tool does HDMI out, and we'd hope the Photo Editor does as well, since they're both supposed to hit in 2009 for a similar price point: around $300 US.[via]

Watch Brando has released another cool gadget in the form of the Marble LED Clock. The LED clock display time as if it projects on a piece of marble block. You can choose the Marble Clock with red or blue LED digits. The product is currently available at the Watch Brando for $48. [via]

Sony Sountina Glass Speakers at IFA 2008

Sony has showcased their super expensive Sony Sontina speaker at the IFA 2008. It is a 6 foot tall speaker that produces a 360 degree pool of sound by vibrating every corner of the organic cylinder. The speaker delivers a high quality sound with a room enhancing illumination. The Sountina Glass Speakers will be released in the future for ¥1,000,000 (about €6,500 / $10,000). Motorola MOTOZINE ZN5

Motorola's MOTOZINE ZN5 ($TBD), co-developed with Kodak, lets you shoot pictures as easy as you talk. Featuring Kodak imaging technology, the ZN5 packs a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, a Xenon flash, a 2.4-inch high-resolution landscape screen, and 4GB of optional external memory. The ZN5 also features ModeShift technology (sliding the lens cover transforms it from phone to camera), Kodak EasyShare software, a 3.5 mm headset jack, WiFi and Bluetooth, and an FM radio.[via]

Finally, a Lotus with an interior to match its exterior. The Lotus Evora ($TBD; 2009) is the British carmaker's new 2+2 coupe, offering 276 hp from a 3.5L V6, a curb weight of just 2,976 lbs., and an interior filled with high-end appointments like leather, a navigation system, Bluetooth, iPod connectivity, and more. Fantastic styling, adult creature comforts, and legendary Lotus handling combine to make this one of '09s hottest rides.[via]

LG's DVS450H Makes DVD Players Attractive Again, Plays DivX HD

It's becoming all about Blu-ray nowadays, but LG hasn't forgotten the DVD player: its DVS450H is doubly interesting for its design and DivX playing. Check out those sleek lines—pretty sci-fi, especially with that concealed display and sliding-door disc tray lid. LG call its shape "floating", and it can be desk or wall mounted. And its the first "DivX Certified(R) DVD player from a major manufacturer capable of playing HD video" according to LG, with playback capabilities from DVD or hard drives attached to its USB port. PSP 3000 To Have Worse Battery Life, But Sony Takes Note

The PSP 3000 will have a brighter LCD with a wider color gamut and 5 times the contrast ratio of the PSP 2000. From the shots we've seen, it blows the old screen away—and that screen was already pretty decent. There is, of course, a catch. And that catch is that the PSP will lose somewhere between 20 and 30 minutes of battery life compared to the old PSP, putting its playtime to 3 1/2 to 4 hours. But to compensate, Sony will be rereleasing the just-discontinued PSP extended battery to the market which should still provide 8-10 hours of play. [Gamespot via Maxconsole]
